Crystal Palace will reportedly sign Rob Green from Queens Park Rangers on transfer deadline day.
Crystal Palace will sign Rob Green from Queens Park Rangers on transfer deadline day, according to The Daily Mail.
The British newspaper has reported on its live transfer feed at 11:14am this morning (Monday, February 1): “Crystal Palace are set to sign QPR goalkeeper Rob Green”.
No further details have been given, but one suspects that the deal will go through. Green has been on the books of QPR since 2012 and has a contract until the end of the season.
Selling the goalkeeper now means that Rangers, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, will get a transfer fee.
The 36-year-old former Norwich City and West Ham United goalkeeper has featured in 24 Championship games for QPR so far this season. Green has kept eight clean sheets, and has made 1.83 saves per game and 1.52 saves per goal.
QPR are 13th in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 29 matches, 11 points behind Birmingham City, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.
Meanwhile, Palace currently find themselves 11th in the Premier League table with 31 points from 23 games.
