Report: Burnley and Middlesbrough keen on Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans loan move

The Scotland international has admirers in the Championship.

Championship clubs Burnley and Middlesbrough are hoping to improve their hopes of Championship promotion today by making a move for Graham Dorrans of Norwich City.

It is reported by the Daily Mail (12:37) that Burnley and Boro are both in the hunt for the Scottish midfielder. This comes after missing out on a deal for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard - who is all set to join up with West Bromwich Albion by the end of the day.

Dorrans, who has 12 caps for the Scotland national team, first joined Norwich City on loan before arriving permanently in the summer.

However, after making the permanent switch he has struggled to become a regular fixture at Carrow Road.

Both Burnley and Boro are chasing promotion to the Premier League at the moment. Boro are currently second in the Championship table on 55 points whilst Burnley are third in the table behind Boro by just four points.

Both clubs will be hoping to tie down the former West Brom player to a deal in order to help them in their promotion hunt.
