Mekhi Leacock-McLeod confirms on Twitter that he's signed permanent Rangers contract

Winger Mekhi Leacock-McLeod has revealed that he has signed for Rangers from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Teenage winger Mekhi Leacock-McLeod has taken to Twitter to reveal that he has signed for Rangers this evening.

The Gers got their big deadline day signing done earlier, with forward Michael O'Halloran arriving from St. Johnstone, but Mark Warburton appears to have snapped up another new face.

Back in December, The Scottish Sun reported that Rangers had taken wide man Leacock-McLeod on trial from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with a view to a permanent contract.

The former Fulham youngster scored in his trial game against Airdrie, making a real impact during his short stay at Murray Park.

The chase for Leacock-McLeod appeared to have gone quiet amid the pursuit of O'Halloran, but now he seems to have put pen-to-paper at Ibrox.

The 19-year-old winger took to Twitter earlier this evening to post a picture of himself in his Rangers jacket, confirming that he has signed for Mark Warburton's men on a permanent basis.

With Billy King and the aforementioned O'Halloran already in, Warburton has added another pacey option to his frontline, though Leacock-McLeod is expected to be one for the future.
