Leeds Under-21s were in action on Deadline Day as things remain quiet on the transfer front.

Norman Hunter was at Thorp Arch to watch Leeds United's Under-21s in action on Monday afternoon.

Indeed, all remains quiet on the transfer front at Leeds in terms of Deadline Day but their youngsters were heavily involved in footballing terms.

Several senior players also took part - Casper Sloth, Tom Adeyemi, Lee Erwin etc - as the 1966 World Cup winner with England and former Leeds man watched on.

There has been the odd murmur of players leaving Leeds before the end of the transfer window, as well as the possibility remaining of a signing - perhaps up front.

But time is running out and Steve Evans looks likely to have to make do with the squad he currently has at Elland Road. If not, he may have to dip into the academy...

So far this season, the Whites have strengthened, bringing in Liam Bridcutt and Toumani Diagouraga in particular. The United squad looks solid for a top-half finish but plenty want to see Leeds challenge for the play-offs, it seems.
