Fulham have clinched the signing of Zakaria Labyad on loan from Sporting Lisbon.
The forward has joined until the end of the season, but with hours to go before the transfer window closes, his arrival brings uncertainty regarding Moussa Dembele.
The Frenchman is in the final few months of his contract, and underwent a medical with Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
The Guardian reported that a deal collapsed late on Sunday with Tottenham unwilling to loan Dembele back to the Championship side this season.
Now Fulham have an extra forward in until the end of the season there remains a real possibility the Dembele deal could yet get done.
Fulham have managed to hold onto star striker Ross McCormack so far, and if they end up with Dembele and Zakaria too it will be a successful transfer window. Tottenham on the other hand are without the striker they wanted to back up Harry Kane, and have just a matter of hours to go to try and do a deal for Dembele.
