The Manchester City midfielder hugged the Villa defender on Saturday afternoon.

Fabian Delph may be public enemy number at Aston Villa (a title it’ll be difficult to snatch off him for the rest of his days) but he still has friends at Villa Park.

Indeed, during Manchester City’s trip to his former club on Saturday afternoon – where his current side duly thumped Villa 4-0 to knock them out of the FA Cup – he embraced centre-back Jores Okore to show there’s still plenty of affection between him and his former team-mates.

Aston Villa fans are rightly bearing a grudge after the way the 26-year-old left them over the summer.

Manchester City supporters, though, are backing their man all the way and taking any opportunity to get one over the Villa faithful.

But Delph and Okore have shown there clearly remains some mutual respect among the players.

Next up for Aston Villa is a Premier League trip to West Ham United on Tuesday night. Manchester City, meanwhile, travel to Sunderland.
