However, he suggests Liverpool - who have long been tipped to move for the Russian - are ‘NOT’ looking at him.
Jurgen Klopp is short of numbers at the moment, with the Reds squad boasting an unfortunate number of injuries.
It is also widely acknowledged that Liverpool are well short of quality right now. But it looks as though the Anfield club will look to address that issue in the summer rather than during Deadline Day.

Ideally, Liverpool would sign a new centre-forward before the end of the January transfer window.
But is it better to sign any available striker or wait until summer to sign a better one?
The evidence of Christian Benteke would suggest the former - although even he was bought in the summer…
