Florian Thauvin appears delighted to have left Newcastle to sign on loan with Marseille.
He sent a message via his Twitter account expressing his delight to be back with the French side.
His post read: "Happy to be back home and Vélodrome for a few months . Together for a good end of season, thank you for your support! # AllezLOM."
Newcastle confirmed on their official club website that they had cleared a deal for Thauvin to return to his former side until the end of the 2015/16 season on loan.
He will return to Newcastle at the end of the loan, with no purchase agreement set as part of the deal.
He has not given up on being a success at the club either.
Thank you to all Newcastle fans for your support. I'll be back stronger.— Florian Thauvin (@FlorianThauvin) January 31, 2016
Teammate and fellow summer addition Georginio Wijnaldum - who has been a success - sent Thauvin a simple message on Twitter.
The attacker has disappointed since his summer switch from Marseille, last featuring in the FA Cup loss to Watford earlier this month.
He will play alongside fellow loanee Remy Cabella, who signed on loan for Marseille in August as part of the deal which took Thauvin to Newcastle.
The 22-year-old played 13 Premier League games for Newcastle, but only three were starts, with his only goal coming in the Capital One Cup.
