The ECM Advisory team will be led by Jim Renwick who will join the Firm in February as a Senior Managing Director in its London office. The team will work with Evercore’s industry sector and M&A advisory teams to provide independent strategic and transactional advice to existing and new clients in Europe on the full range of equity advisory assignments, including IPOs, follow-on and equity-linked offerings, rights issues and equity private placements. They will collaborate closely with Evercore’s US Capital Markets Advisory team in relation to cross-border situations.
Renwick was most recently Chairman of Corporate Broking and UK ECM at Barclays. He joined Barclays in 2009 to help spearhead their UK Corporate Broking and ECM build out after Barclays acquired Lehman in the US. Prior to 2009, Renwick was a Managing Director in ECM at UBS, having joined the firm in 1990. He is one of the most experienced ECM bankers in London and for over 25 years has been involved in a range of equity issues including IPOs, acquisition financing, M&A and restructurings.

Renwick received a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University in 1984 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
