Crystal Palace's Yannick Bolasie reacts to reports Stoke will sign Giannelli Imbula

Stoke City are expected to sign Giannelli Imbula from Porto later today, and Crystal Palace's Yannick Bolasie has seemingly backed the move.

Yannick Bolasie has seemingly tipped Giannelli Imbula to be a success at Stoke City on social media site Twitter.

According to the Guardian, Imbula is set to make a club record move to Stoke in a transfer worth £18 million.

And Crystal Palace winger Bolasie reacted to the mooted move on Twitter by posting a simple message, which suggested he thinks the 23-year-old will be a good addition for Mark Hughes’ men.

Imbula’s impeding arrival at Stoke is another signal of the progress that the Potters have made in recent years.

Stoke have made a series of high profile additions in recent transfer windows, and Imbula’s move is an eye catching one.

The 23-year-old has developed a big reputation at Porto, where his powerful performances have impressed in the heart of their midfield.

Stoke’s previous record signing was Xherdan Shaqiri, who moved for £12 million last summer (the Guardian), but Imbula is set to smash that fee if, as expected, he joins later today.
