The Palace boss was speaking with his tongue in cheek.
It was yesterday announced that John Terry looked set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season. The club captain looks like bringing to an end his career at Chelsea and the former England captain looks set to find a new club.
Plenty of clubs will of course be interested in the player with Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew all set to make a move for the player - who will be a free agent in the summer.
He is quoted by Sky Sports as stating today, with his tongue firmly in cheek:
"I've bumped into John Terry on occasion and asked him many times to join me.
"He always sniggers at the suggestion.
"Of course I will ask one more time. I'm sure I'll bump into him again and ask the question."
Of course Palace would love to have the experienced centre-back at Selhurst Park next season - as would many a Premier League side.
However it has been made very clear by Terry that this is not going to happen. The 35-year-old will not be interested in playing for another Premier League club in the future and any move away from Stamford Bridge is set to take him abroad.
Palace will therefore have to not take Pardew's words too seriously as there is no chance of Terry remaining in the Premier League if he does not sign an extension at Chelsea.
