Celtic fans send a clear message to club after Scottish League Cup exit

Ronny Deila

Celtic lost 3-1 to Ross County in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to claim that the club should sack Ronny Deila.

The Celtic supporters made the comments following the team’s exit from the Scottish League Cup. The Hoops suffered a 3-1 defeat to Scottish Premiership rivals Ross County at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

Gary Mackay-Steven scored after only 26 seconds to give Celtic the lead, but Deila’s side were reduced to 10 men in the 13th minute when Efe Ambrose was sent off for committing a foul on County's Alex Schalk in the box.

Martin Woods scored from the penalty, Paul Quinn headed a second after the break and Schalk hammered in the third to wrap up a 3-1 win for Jim McIntyre’s side.

The defeat means that Celtic’s chances of winning the domestic treble is over, and they will now have to concentrate on clinching the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup.

Celtic fans are not happy with Deila and has urged the club to sack the Norwegian. Below are some of the best comments on Twitter:
