The Leeds midfielder took to social media over the weekend.
Indeed, the 28-year-old didn’t manage to net for the Bees in three years of football.
One game with Leeds and he scored straight away…
That prompted a few sarcastic responses from Brentford fans on Twitter, as they responded to Diagouraga following his social-media celebrations.
Delighted with the team performance and my goal unbelievable following #facup— Toumani diagouraga (@toums20) January 30, 2016
Generally, of course, both Leeds and Brentford fans were full of support for the midfielder.
The 28-year-old has already made a decisive impact within Steve Evans’ starting XI and it’s now up to him to carry it on.
Diagouraga worked well with Liam Bridcutt on his Leeds debut and also allowed several of his team-mates to attack more confidently knowing that he was there to cover for them.
Brentford fans, however, certainly have cause to feel aggrieved! Here’s how they responded to their former midfielder on Twitter after Leeds’ FA Cup win over Bolton…
@toums20 Fair play Toums, I'm well chuffed for you mate. All the best— Michael Kennedy (@mikey_kennedy87) January 31, 2016
