BBC personality and Fulham fan jokes on Twitter regarding Moussa Dembele's failed Tottenham move

The French youngster looks likely to stay put.

Tottenham Hotspur's pursuit of Fulham striker Moussa Dembele has been one of the biggest sagas of the transfer window.

It looked as though the Frenchman was on his way to the club earlier in the week and that he would return to Fulham on loan.

However yesterday, on transfer deadline day eve, the deal collapsed and right now it looks like the French talent is staying at Craven Cottage.

Which is great news for this cult Fulham fan.

BBC personality, Pointless presenter and font of football knowledge Richard Osman was asked earlier today by a Spurs fan to have a chat with Dembele - and convince him to leave his beloved Cottagers for White Hart Lane.

His response was humorously tongue-in-cheek:

Indeed it has been topsy-turvy in the transfer window so far for Dembele but it looks like he will be staying with Fulham until the end of the season.

He is out of contract in the summer and it seems he will be finding himself a new club, either at home or abroad, when his contract with the club expires.
