NEC youngster Anthony Limbombe has told Elf Voetbal that he has not been contacted by any club.
According to a recent report in The Yorkshire Post, Leeds United and Granada are interested in signing the 21-year-old, who can play as a winger or as a forward.
When asked by Elf Voetbal about speculation linking him with Leeds and Granada, Limbombe said: “I’ve had no contact with any club. I still think that I will stay until the end of the season.”
It seems that Limbombe is not going to leave NEC before the end of the season, and Leeds may now have to look elsewhere if indeed they want to sign a winger on transfer deadline day.
Leeds are 14th in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 29 matches. The West Yorkshire outfit are 11 points above the relegation zone and 11 points behind Birmingham City, who are sixth in the standings at the moment and occupy the final playoff spot.
Steve Evans’s side will return to league action next weekend when they take on Nottingham Forest at Elland Road. Leeds got the better of Bolton Wanderers away from home at the Macron Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
