No further Tottenham talks for Dembele
According to the London Evening Standard, there are no further talks planned between Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham over a deal for striker Moussa Dembele. The French hitman, 19, had agreed a £5m deal and undergone a medical with Spurs over the weekend, but the deal broke down over Spurs' reluctance to let him re-join Fulham on loan - and it doesn't look like the deal will be resurrected.
Liverpool fail in move for Maddison
The Mirror reported at 20:05 that Liverpool made a move for Coventry City starlet James Maddison, but have failed with that attempt. The 19-year-old has come up through the ranks at the Ricoh Arena, and Liverpool had hoped to sign him today and then loan him back to the Sky Blues until the end of the season, but that won't be happening - though Liverpool are expected to move again for Maddison in the summer.
Stoke on the verge of landing Imbula
Sky Sports reported at 20:21 this evening that Stoke City are moving ever closer to landing Porto midfielder Giannelli Imbula in a club record £18m deal. The former Marseille man, 23, is currently undergoing a medical with the Potters, and a deal should be confirmed before the deadline.
Watford snap up Venezuelan wonderkid Adalberto Penaranda
Shortly after signing Rennes midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and loaning him out to Granada, Watford have made another move with their sister club. This time, the Hornets have confirmed on their official website that they hae signed Venezuelan wonderkid Adalberto Penaranda from the Spanish club, but will loan him back until the summer of 2017. The 18-year-old forward broke Lionel Messi's record as the youngest player to score two goals in a La Liga match, giving Watford fans something to be excited about.
Mathieu Debuchy joins Bordeaux on loan
After plenty of speculation, French international right back Mathieu Debuchy has left Arsenal to join Bordeaux on loan until the end of the season. The 30-year-old is a clear second choice behind Hector Bellerin at the Emirates Stadium, and the Gunners have confirmed on their official website that Debuchy has gone back to France on loan in a bid to play first-team football.
Green's Palace move in doubt
The Mirror reported at 20:38 that QPR goalkeeper Rob Green is in limbo after a move to Crystal Palace broke down. The Eagles have seen Wayne Hennessey struggle between the sticks, and with Alex McCarthy heading to Fulham on loan, Green was seen as the man to step in at Selhurst Park. However, it's now stated that the deal is currently off, and won't go through barring a late resurrection.
Everton sign Senegalese forward Oumar Niasse
Everton have confirmed on their official website that Senegalese international Oumar Niasse has joined the club in a £13.5m deal from Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow. The 25-year-old, who can play out wide or up front, has hit 19 goals in 42 games for Lokomotiv, and will give Everton a spark of pace in the final third alongside Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu - even though fans may feel they need a defender.
Middlesbrough finally complete Rhodes deal
After a long, drawn-out transfer, Middlesbrough have finally completed the signing of Blackburn Rovers goal machine Jordan Rhodes. With 85 goals in 169 games for Blackburn, the Scotland international is a proven Championship goalscorer, and should boost Middlesbrough's bid for promotion. Aitor Karanka's men have resurrected a deal which looked dead on Sunday, and Rhodes is now a Middlesbrough player after they confirmed the move on their official website.
