This transfer update includes news from Middlesbrough, Wolves, Stoke City and Arsenal among others.

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed that the Championship side have made an inquiry regarding Middlesbrough striker Kike, according to the Express and Star.

Speculation over a move began after the Spaniard was seen leaving Boro's training ground earlier today, and Jackett has done little to quash the rumours by confirming their interest in the 26-year-old.

"He is a player we have followed and inquired about. But there's a number of players we've inquired about - we're looking at home and abroad," he said, as reported by the Express and Star.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has confirmed that the Potters are closing in on a move for Porto midfielder Giannelli Imbula, according to Sky Sports.

The Premier League side have agreed a club record deal of £18m for the 23-year-old (via Sky Sports), and Hughes explained that a move could now be imminent.

"Talks have been progressing. Hopefully by the end of the day we'll be able to announce something," he said, as reported by Sky Sports.

Bordeaux president Jean Louis Triaud has confirmed that the Ligue 1 side are hoping to sign Arsenal full-back Mathieu Debuchy, but insisted that a deal was not done yet, the Daily Mail reported on its transfer feed at 2.48pm.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Aston Villa, Sunderland, and even Manchester United (via Daily Mirror), but Triaud confirmed that they are working to swoop in ahead of the Premier League trio.

"I do not confirm the arrival of Mathieu Debuchy but it is a possibility we are exploring and are hoping for," he said, as reported by the Mail.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail also reported on its transfer feed at 2.48pm that Bordeaux's holding midfielder Lamine Sane was being targeted by Norwich City over a potential move.

However, the Mail explained that talks between the two clubs regarding the 28-year-old failed to reach an agreement.
