3pm deadline day news: Tottenham midfielder discusses why he chose West Brom loan move, Middlesbrough striker could be heading for the exit

West Brom

This transfer update includes news from Tottenham, West Brom, Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town among others.

West Brom's new signing Alex Pritchard has explained to the club's official website that he made his mind up to join the Baggies on loan from Tottenham as soon as he found out that Tony Pulis' side were interested.

The 22-year-old - who was one of the Championship's most exciting players last season while on loan with Brentford - said that he had other options available to him this window, but was in no doubt once West Brom joined the race.

"It's been a hectic few hours - I was close to going elsewhere - but when this came about I didn't hesitate to come here," the midfielder told the club's official website.

"I'm here and excited to get going."

Kike could be set to leave Middlesbrough after he was filmed leaving the club's training ground, Gazette Live reports.

The Spaniard has been linked with a loan move to Boro's Championship rivals Wolves and Leeds during this window, and with Aitor Karanka's men hoping to complete a deal to sign Jordan Rhodes from Blackburn, Gazette Live suggests that the Scotland international's arrival may result in the 26-year-old departing.

Ipswich Town have reportedly had a £2m bid for highly-rated midfielder Bradley Dack rejected by Gillingham, according to The Sun.

The Tractor Boys offered the League One side £2m for Dack, but Gillingham are looking for around £5m for the 22-year-old, The Sun's transfer feed reported at around 2.07pm.
