West Brom fans react on Twitter to Rickie Lambert's performance against Peterborough United

West Brom

West Bromwich Albion drew 2-2 with Peterborough United this weekend.

West Bromwich Albion supporters have slammed Rickie Lambert’s performance against Peterborough United yesterday.

Lambert was handed a rare start for the Baggies in their FA Cup fourth round match and he partnered Saido Berahino up front.

However, the experienced front-man was basically ineffectual against West Brom’s League One opponents.

West Brom took the lead twice against Posh, with Berahino scoring both goals, but strikes from Shaquille Coulthirst and Jon Taylor forced the tie into a replay.

The Baggies never really got going in the fixture; however it was Lambert who bore the brunt of the fans’ criticism after the match.

The England international has failed to impress since moving to The Hawthorns from Liverpool in the summer, and it seems that Baggies supporters’ patience is wearing thin.

Lambert has now played 23 times for Albion, but his total of one goal has not exactly been encouraging.

And some Baggies fans even went as far as calling Lambert’s performance yesterday the worst they have ever seen on social media site Twitter.
