Tottenham Hotspur fans react on Twitter as Shaq Coulthirst nets in FA Cup for Peterborough

FA Cup

Shaq Coulthirst scored for Peterborough in the FA Cup against West Brom, shortly after being moved on by striker needy Tottenham.

It did not take long for new Peterborough United forward Shaq Coulthirst to get off the mark for the club.

The new signing scored a vital goal in the FA Cup against West Bromwich Albion to help his side to a 2-2 draw, earning a replay.

Coulthirst was allowed to leave by Tottenham Hotspur this month after several years in the club's academy.

He got close to the first team, even making the bench against Inter Milan in the Europa League, and played a prominent role in the pre-season tour of the US this past summer.

Yet despite the club's need for a striker, he was not chosen by head coach Mauricio Pochettino for an active role in the first team, and was allowed to move on.

He has set about proving a point in a positive manner, by scoring against Premier League opposition, showing an eye for the back of the net which may well have come in handy for Spurs.

Coulthirst took his goal well to draw his side level, and will hope it is just the start of a scoring streak for him at his new club.

Here is a look at how Tottenham fans reacted to seeing one of their former prodigies find the scoresheet...
