The Argentine has falling down the pecking order at White Hart Lane this season, making just one appearance to date and looking shaky in a 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat against Arsenal back in September.
Since then the 28-year-old has been named on the bench just once in the Premier League and with only five appearances in the match-day squad in all competitions this season – all as an unused substitute – it seems Fazio’s future is away from North London.
And now it seems Stoke manager Mark Hughes has been paying attention and seemingly feels Fazio would bring something to his own ever-improving squad.
Stoke are currently ninth in the league with 33 points from 23 matches and with some exciting attacking players in their ranks Hughes now appears to be focusing at the opposite end of the field.
The problem for Stoke is that the El Correo report claims Fazio has eyes for only one club if he does leave Tottenham this month – Sevilla.
The Argentine played 197 times for the La Liga side before moving to Tottenham in 2014.
