Leeds United won against Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites got the better of Championship rivals Bolton 2-1 away from home at the Macron Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Midfielders Diagouraga and Bridcutt started the tie and played for the entire 90 minutes. Evans has claimed that the duo were outstanding against Bolton, and that they allowed Lewis Cook to gel.
“We're without some of the players we would normally start and yet we've still won,” the Scot told BBC Radio Leeds. "I saw it today as a 4-2-4 and you give that four a licence to play. I thought Toumani and Bridcutt were outstanding and that was able to let Cook go and play.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Macron Stadium, hosts Bolton had 46% of the possession, took seven shots of which three were on target, and earned seven corners.
Visitors Leeds had 54% of the possession, took 10 shots of which five were on target, and earned two corners.
Bolton are at the bottom of the Championship table at the moment with 20 points from 28 matches, while Leeds are currently 14th in the standings with 36 points from 29 games.
