The Senegalese winger had an afternoon to forget.
Sheffield Wednesday were dumped out of the FA Cup in dramatic fashion yesterday. After Lewis McGugan had twice seemingly put them into the next round of the competition they fluffed their lines as the League One side Shrewsbury Town scored a late winner in a 3-2 triumph.
There was however some fairly forgettable performances from the Wednesday players tasked with getting the result.
One who came in for particular stick on Twitter after the game was winger Modou Sougou.
The Senegalese winger put in an uninspiring performance on the right-hand side of midfield and has struggled to have an impact in Yorkshire since he made a move to the club.
After an initial good start the summer signing from Marseille has tailed off in recent weeks and it is fair to say that the Sheffield Wednesday fans have not been impressed with the 31-year-old attacker.
On Twitter yesterday the Sheffield Wednesday fans were baffled by his performance with many showing their trademark humour in the process.
Of course it appears that many an Owl fan would be happy to see him leave the club tomorrow but the better option would surely be an improvement from the winger in the final months of the season...
Every time I see Modou Sougou he looks like he's never played before #swfc— Joe Rennie (@joe72_) January 30, 2016
