Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be interested in West Bromwich Albion defender Sebastian Pocognoli.

Kenny Jackett has been pictured at the Hawthorns, after reports in the Express & Star suggested that Wolverhampton Wanderers were targeting West Bromwich Albion defender Sebastian Pocognoli.

Pocognoli has barely played for the Baggies this season, with his first-team chances very limited due to the fine form of his teammates.

Thankfully for Jackett, his scouting trip was not a wasted event - as Pocognoli made his first start since September yesterday.

The 28-year-old was picked to play from the off in Albion’s FA Cup match against Peterborough United, but he failed to impress.

Pocognoli was partly at fault for both of Posh’s goals, as they rescued a 2-2 draw in the fixture.

Whether Jackett will be put off by the Belgian’s showing remains to be seen, but before the match he was reportedly keen to add Pocognoli to his squad at Molineux.

Wolves have already brought in Mike Williamson from Newcastle United to strengthen their back-line this month, but Jackett is still on the hunt for further additions before deadline day.
