Celtic are set to sign Patrick Roberts from Manchester City on loan.

Patrick Roberts has been pictured at Hampden Park, watching Celtic’s Scottish League Cup semi-final against Ross County this weekend.

Roberts is set to complete a move to Parkhead from Manchester City on loan before deadline day, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Bhoys have been chasing the 18-year-old for much of the January transfer window so far, but appear to be closing in on a deal now with the clock ticking down.

Roberts has been made available for loan by City, as Manuel Pellegrini’s side are said to be keen for the youngster to gain first-team experience.

City and Celtic have a good relationship - following Jason Denayer’s loan move to the Scottish champions last season.

If Roberts does move to Celtic, he will increase competition for places in Ronny Deila’s squad in the forward areas.

The Bhoys already have a large amount of attacking options, but Deila is hoping to upgrade his attacking options before the close of the transfer window.
