Former Manchester United and Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves predicted on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 2 on Saturday morning (January 30) that Saido Berahino would score 20 goals a season at Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Stoke City are all interested in signing Berahino in January.
Hargreaves rates the 22-year-old striker highly and has backed him to be a success at Spurs.
“He (Berahino) is a super player and he is going to score a ton of goals,” said Hargreaves on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 2 on Saturday morning (January 30). “In the right team in Spurs, he might get you 20 a season.”
Berahino is one of the more promising and talented young players in the Premier League. The former England Under-21 international has not been playing well this season, but there can be no denial about his talent.
The youngster scored 14 goals and created 28 chances in 38 Premier League appearances last season. So far this campaign, Berahino has scored three goals and created four chances in 18 league games.
Tottenham are a much more attacking team than West Brom, and head coach Mauricio Pochettino has shown that he can work wonders with young players.
