Rangers midfielder Fraser Aird has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at joining Vancouver Whitecaps FC on loan.
The 20-year-old midfielder has joined the Major League Soccer outfit on loan from Rangers for the duration of the new MLS season. This means that the Canada international will remain with the Whitecaps until October.
Aird, who made his debut for the Rangers first team back in September 2012, has struggled for playing time at Ibrox this season.
The youngster, who has played over 50 league games for the Glasgow giants, has only featured as a substitute on four occasions for the Scottish Championship leaders this campaign.
Aird, who can also play in defence, is delighted to have made the loan move to his native Canada.
Delighted to have signed for @WhitecapsFC on loan for the season, looking forward to the challenges ahead can't wait to get started— fraser aird (@FraserAird) January 29, 2016
Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 53 points from 21 matches.
Mark Warburton’s side are five points clear of second-placed Hibernian and are favourites to gain automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the season.
