Derek Johnstone has written in The Glasgow Evening Times that Rangers will win the Scottish Championship title this season without any further signings.
Rangers have signed Harry Forrester, Maciej Gostomski and Billy King so far in the January transfer window.
Johnstone, who played for the Gers in the 1970s and 1980s and is a club legend, believes that the Glasgow giants will clinch the league title this campaign with their current squad.
“Even if we don’t sign anyone else before the end of the window, we still have enough quality to go on and win the league,” the former Scotland international wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times.
Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 53 points from 21 matches.
The Gers are five points clear of Hibernian, who are currently second and also harbour hopes of automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership at the end of the season.
Rangers have some of the best players in the Scottish Championship, such as Kenny Miller, Andy Halliday, James Tavernier and Martyn Waghorn. It would be a surprise if Mark Warburton’s side slip up in the coming months.
