Noel Whelan predicts Bolton v Leeds FA Cup tie

Bolton Wanderers and Leeds United will face each other in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Noel Whelan predicted on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (January 29) that Leeds United will win against Bolton Wanderers today.

Leeds will take on Championship rivals Bolton away from home at the Macron Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup this afternoon.

“I am going with a 2-1 Leeds,” predicted former Leeds striker Whelan on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (January 29).

Bolton will head into the tie on the back of a 3-1 victory over Milton Keynes Dons at home in the Championship.

Neil Lennon’s side have won their last two competitive games, and they will be confident of making it three in a row.

The Trotters are struggling for survival in the Championship, and the FA Cup tie against Leeds will be a welcome distraction.

Leeds’s performances and results in recent weeks have left much to be desired, and head coach Steve Evans will hope for a win against Bolton today.

With the West Yorkshire outfit looking unlikely to finish in the top six of the Championship this season, an FA Cup run would make the coming weeks interesting for the fans.
