The 18-year-old has been discussing his Leeds future.
Time is running out if anyone wants to prise the teenager away from Elland Road.
But anything can happen on Deadline Day and Cook's quality is there for all to see both in the Championship and top flight.
Asked by the BBC whether he'll still be at Leeds next Saturday, however, the 18-year-old responded confidently: "Definitely!"
Cook's talent is such that there will likely be Premier League interest in him for some time to come.
At the same time, though, Leeds' recent form - and the freedom the teenager was given against Bolton - will encourage the playmaker and suggest to him he could still achieve plenty by staying at United.
Steve Evans' impact has been very noticeable - both on the pitch and in the transfer market.
It's too soon to lavish praise on the Scot (some of Leeds' performances have still been very poor during his tenure). But, if Evans carries on in this vein, he could be the reason many players choose to stay at Elland Road.
