The youngster has been out of favour under Remi Garde this season.
The youngster was a rising star last season under Tim Sherwood with a series of impressive displays, catching the eye in the FA Cup semi-final win over Liverpool especially.
This season has been an entirely different story for him though and he is currently struggling to break into the first team under new manager Remi Garde.
Cole, a teammate of Grealish’s last season, says he still has faith that the youngster will come good and has backed him to bounce back sooner rather than later.
“Jack is a good lad and he will turn it around,” he told the Mirror.
“Every player will experience being left out of the team and it is how you bounce back. It is a part of your development.”
“We can all walk and talk in victory and glory when everyone is slapping high fives. But it is where you stand when the chips are down that is the making of the man I think. I think he is a good lad and he will bounce back.”
“He will play himself into the team. He is still a kid, he is 20 and has it all ahead of him - there are years left for him to kick on and play.”
Villa fans will certainly be hoping that Grealish can provide something, with their side in desperate need of a spark from somewhere to save them from relegation this season.
With just 15 games left they are currently ten points from safety, and looking destined for the Championship next season.
However, Leicester City’s escape last season has shown that it can be done and a strong second half of the campaign from Grealish could save the Villains in a similar manner.
