David Gold reacts on Twitter to West Ham fan support v Liverpool

The West Ham co-chairman was delighted with his side's fans against the Reds.

West Ham United co-chairman was delighted with his club's 3000 'passionate' supporters against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides played out a far-from-ideal 0-0 draw at Anfield but Liverpool will be less satisfied with the outcome in the knowledge another trip to Upton Park now awaits them.

And Gold was delighted with the West Ham fans and the influence they had against Jurgen Klopp's men.

Another game being added to the schedule is never ideal for any Premier League side but the Hammers will no doubt have preferred a replay to a defeat.

West Ham are still unbeaten against Liverpool this season and should fare well at Upton Park - especially if their fans bring the noise.

Both the east London club and the Reds will be looking for strong league finishes while also maintaining their FA Cup hopes. For Liverpool, however, the Capital One Cup final obviously takes priority.
