Sunderland fans react on Twitter to Wahbi Khazri deal

Sunderland are set to sign Wahbi Khazri from Bordeaux in the January transfer window.

Sunderland fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the imminent signing of Wahbi Khazri.

Bordeaux have announced on the official website that they have agreed a fee with Sunderland for the transfer of Khazri.

The 24-year-old Tunisia international is an attacking midfielder, and he is being signed in order to add creativity to the Black Cats’ game.

The former Bastia man has scored five goals and created 53 chances in 20 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux so far this season.

Khazri has a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 61%, and has won 17 headers, 33 dribbles and 35 tackles.

Sunderland are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 23 matches.

Sam Allardyce’s side are four points behind 17th-placed Norwich City and are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
