Souleymane Doukara outlines Sol Bamba’s support

Souleymane Doukara has recently established himself as an important player for Leeds United.

Leeds United striker Souleymane Doukara has revealed to The Yorkshire Evening Post the support that he has received from teammate Sol Bamba.

Doukara, who can also play as a winger, has recently returned to form and has established himself as a key player for Leeds.

The 24-year-old has scored two goals and created eight chances in 15 Championship appearances for the Whites so far this season.

The former Catania man has a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 50%, and has won six headers, four dribbles and six tackles.

Doukara has revealed that he is thankful to defender Bamba for encouraging him before every game.

“I’m happy to be scoring some goals and I’m enjoying playing,” the Leeds striker told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “You just want to play your football and enjoy it. That’s it.

“I’m running to Sol because before the game he tells me ‘you will score, you will score’. That’s why I run to him, because he’s right. He motivates me to score.”

Leeds are 14th in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 29 matches.

The West Yorkshire outfit are 10 points behind sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday and 12 points above the relegation zone.

The Whites will take on Bolton Wanderers away from home at the Macron Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
