Report claims Leeds target Anthony Limbombe wants to leave NEC, La Liga side are also interested

The Championship side have reportedly tabled a bid for the Belgian winger.

Reported Leeds United target Anthony Limbombe has seemingly put the Whites on alert after the Yorkshire Post reported that the winger has told NEC that he wants to leave the club.

The Yorkshire Post reports that the Championship side have made a bid in excess of £1m previously, but they will have to see off competition from La Liga side Granada if they hope to complete a deal for the exciting 21-year-old.

Despite the two clubs' interest however, it is difficult to imagine that the Eredivisie side will be happy to let Limbombe move on during this window.

The youngster has been integral to his side's fortunes this season. His six goals makes him NEC's second highest goalscorer this term, and has helped them put themselves right into the mix for a spot in the Europa League for next season.

Although Mustapha Carayol has been added to Steve Evans' squad this month, United still look to be lacking depth on the wings, so the Leeds boss may be looking to strengthen in that area of the field before Monday's deadline.

And if Limbombe is hoping to leave the Netherlands in the near future, then perhaps he would be the perfect option to add the extra depth that Evans may well be looking for.
