The Forest faithful aren't happy with the club legend.
Indeed, a common phrase is that Pearce has 'gone down in the estimation' of plenty of supporters.
Perhaps the Nottingham Forest icon is intent on destroying his reputation at the City Ground? His return as manager went terribly and the quotes in question saw him suggest that Leicester City winning the Premier League would be a greater achievement than what Brian Clough managed with Forest.
Clough took the Midlands club up, won the league and then won back-to-back European Cups with Forest.
The Leicester point is up for debate, of course, but even simple maths tells you one league title can't compare to some of English football's greatest moments.
It's no wonder plenty of Nottingham Forest fans aren't happy, then, and here's how they reacted on Twitter to Pearce's comments. It's interesting to see what Leicester supporters might think...
No wonder Stuart Pearce is one of the worst managers around if he thinks like that #nffc— Niall Savage (@NiallSav98) January 29, 2016
