Tommaso Bianchi has left Leeds United for Serie B side Ascoli.
Ascoli confirmed the signing of Tommaso Bianchi, bringing the Leeds midfielder in on loan until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has not featured at all this season, aside from the occasional Under-21 appearance, and his time at Elland Road has been mostly struck down by injury.
However, the midfielder never really impressed when taking to the field, and although he is only 18 months into a four-year deal with Leeds, it is expected that Bianchi will join the Serie B club permanently in the summer.
Bianchi was one of a number of signings from Italian football that Massimo Cellino made when he took control of the Whites, believing the former Italian youth international could be a key figure in Leeds’ rise to the Premier League.
On paper he certainly had the credentials, being a veteran of Serie B football, , but he leaves Leeds with just 26 games to his name - and no goals.
Following the confirmation of Bianchi’s exit, Leeds fans took to Twitter to react to the news, with many not too sad to see the midfielder leave Elland Road.
The one good game I remember Bianchi having was Sheffield Wednesday at home last season, other than that he was garbage #lufc— Andrew Wood (@andywood_86) January 28, 2016
Tomasso, Tomas Bianchi, He floats like a butterfly And stings like a.... Butterfly as well. Sigh #lufc— Ian McMullen (@cadillacjukebox) January 28, 2016
Bianchi has to be the one of the worst players to wear #LUFC shirt.— #Cellinoout (@LUFC2005) January 28, 2016
Bianchi's performance away at Derby is the worst performance I've seen any #lufc player make. Ever. I include Kebe, Okon & Burns in that.— Daniel Kilburn (@BurnfaceRovers) January 28, 2016
