HITC Sport understands Hull City are closing in on their long-term goalkeeping target.
Hull City are poised to sign Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Dusan Kuciak with the player due for a medical at the KC Stadium, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Hull have held a long-term interest in Slovakian shot-stopper Kuciak and tried to sign him last summer, only for Legia to reject their two offers for the player.
However, Tigers boss Steve Bruce has continued to keep tabs on Kuciak and he is hoping it will be third time lucky in his pursuit of the 30-year-old.
Bruce is desperate to bring in a new 'keeper as he only has two goalkeepers on his books in the shape of Allan McGregor and Eldin Jakupovic following Steve Harper's departure at the end of last season.
Legia are reluctant to lose Kuciak, but they are open to the idea of cashing in on the player with his current deal due to expire next summer.
Bruce is keen to bring in some competition for No.1 keeper McGregor as he looks to bolster his squad for during this month's transfer window to boost their bid promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
