Burton, Peterborough and Luton Town have joined the chase for non-league hot-shot Freddie Ladapo, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Former Colchester striker Ladapo has been earning rave reviews for National League South side Margate this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid.
Ladapo joined Margate last January and he scored 22 goals in the calendar year of 2015.
Ladapo has netted nine goals so far this season and clubs from the Football League have been flocking to Margate to cast an eye over him in action.
Margate have already rejected bids from Stevenage and Barrow this month for Ladapo, but they are bracing themselves for further interest in the forward before the transfer window slams shut next week.
League One hopefuls Burton and Peterborough are both thought to have made enquiries about Ladapo, while Luton Town are also admirers of the 22-year-old.
Margate are reluctant to lose their star striker, but are unlikely to stand in Ladapo's way of returning to the Football League should they receive a suitable offer.
