Tottenham Hotspur have two strikers from abroad on their radar but only one of them has been named.
According to a report from the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring two strikers who are currently playing their football abroad, and while one of those has been named as Barcelona youngster Sandro Ramirez, the other remains a mystery.
The report also links the usual suspects – namely West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino and Fulham’s Moussa Dembele – but perhaps the most intriguing is the player not named.
Tottenham have built a wonderful squad and manager Mauricio Pochettino is getting the best out of them as they continue to fight on three fronts this season, but if anything happens to first-choice striker Harry Kane things could turn in an instant.
It is always difficult to sign a quality addition midway through a campaign but the fact that Tottenham are said to be monitoring quite so many targets shows how important their next purchase could be; whether that happens this month or in the summer.
Speculating on this mystery target will bring us no closer to the truth, yet it would be no surprise if it turns out to be Breel Embolo, Alexandre Lacazette or Michy Batshuayi – three of the most exciting forwards in Europe right now.
Then again Pochettino could spring a surprise; only time will tell. But it will be interesting watching how things ultimately pan out at White Hart Lane.
