Arsenal are named in the report as already having an interest in the 19-year-old left-back, but Spurs have been impressed enough to try and add him to their already impressive ranks of English players.
They scouted him during the FA Cup third round ties between Spurs and the Foxes, and although Tottenham secured victory after a replay, Mauricio Pochettino and head scout Paul Mitchell were impressed with what they saw.
The report claims that Arsenal had a bid for Chilwell rejected last summer, having sent in a £3 million offer, but Leicester value their teenage talent much higher, despite the fact he has only played three times for their first-team.
Chilwell has broken into the England Under-21 set-up this season, and the report states that Leicester have offered him a new contract to convince him to stay at the King Power Stadium rather than move elsewhere; the youngster’s current deal expires at the end of this season.
Rico Henry, 18, of Walsall is named in the report as another player Spurs are considering - with claims the youngster could be the new Ashley Cole.
