According to a report in the Bristol Post, Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Scott Golbourne is set to join Bristol City later today.
Golbourne has slipped down the pecking order at Molineux this season, with Matt Doherty forcing him out of the team.
The 27-year-old was a key player for Kenny Jackett’s side last term, but they have agreed a £300,000 fee to sell him now.
The Robins have offered Golbourne a two and a half year contract, and the left-back is thought to have agreed to their terms.
Golbourne was at Bristol City as a youngster, so his quality is well known at Ashton Gate.
Golbourne’s switch does rely on Mike Williamson’s move to Molineux going through as expected.
Williamson is set to join Wolves from Newcastle United, and his move will bolster Jackett’s defensive options.
Golbourne will become Bristol City's second signing in as many days, following Lee Tomlin's arrival yesterday.
