Report: Eder tells Leicester City he doesn't want King Power Stadium move

Leicester City had reportedly been prepared to pay £10 million to sign Eder from Sampdoria.

According to a report on Sky Sports, Leicester City have ended their interest in signing Eder from Sampdoria.

Leicester had apparently wanted to sign the 29-year-old striker, and were prepared to bid £10 million to secure his signature.

However, even though Sampdoria were happy to sell at that price, Eder has told Leicester he isn’t keen on a move.

The clinical finisher feels that his chances of playing for Italy at Euro 2016 would be slim, if he moved away from his homeland.

Eder is desperate to play at the international tournament, and he has reportedly told Leicester that he isn’t interested in leaving Serie A until after the tournament takes place.

Leicester will, therefore, have to turn their attention elsewhere as they search for another striker.

Claudio Ranieri believes the addition of a new front man could be key, and Sky Sports suggest that CSKA Moscow’s Ahmed Musa is high up on the club’s wishlist.
