According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Charles N’Zogbia is refusing to leave Aston Villa in January.
Villa are allegedly desperate for the Frenchman to depart, as Remi Garde looks to lower the club’s wage budget to make room for new additions.
However N’Zogbia, who is said to be on £63,000 a week by the Mirror, is reportedly not interested in a move.
The 29-year-old has been offered the chance to move to AEK Athens, but he has rejected the chance to switch to Greece.
The report claims N’Zogbia wants to move to America, but is happy to wait until his contract at Villa comes to an end in the summer, even though he has only played twice this season.
Villa have already sold six players in the January transfer window, but they are yet to make a permanent addition with time running out to do so.
The Mirror suggest that Gabriel Agbonlahor could be the next player to leave Villa, with the Villans keen to sell the out-of-favour striker.
