Rangers supporters give mixed reaction to Billy King's Ibrox move, questions asked

Rangers snapped up winger Billy King from Hearts today.

Rangers confirmed on their official website earlier today that winger Billy King has joined the club on loan from Hearts until the end of the season.

The Gers have already added goalkeeper Maciej Gostomski and playmaker Harry Forrester to their squad this month, but manager Mark Warburton appears to be keen on more arrivals before Monday's transfer deadline.

Today, Rangers added winger Billy King to their side, with the 21-year-old wide man joining on loan until the end of the season from Hearts.

King has been with Hearts since the age of ten, but whilst he impressed last season with nine goals to his name, he has been more of a bit-part player this season, and has now left Tynecastle temporarily in search of first-team football.

After the deal was confirmed, Rangers fans took to Twitter to give their reaction to King's arrival, with some comparing him to former loanee Nathan Oduwa, who returned to Tottenham earlier this month.

Others believe that King's arrival signals the end of Rangers' pursuit of St. Johnstone star Michael O'Halloran, with many fans asking questions of chairman Dave King for his lack of spending.

There was certainly a mixed reaction, as some believe that King can make an impact in Rangers' pursuit of promotion, but many think that it's short-sighted to sign a player who is unlikely to join permanently at the end of the season.
