Leeds United fans react to Massimo Cellino's no transfers claim

Will Leeds United sign any more players this January?

Are Leeds United's incoming transfer plans at an end?

Owner Massimo Cellino has indicated to Sky Sports further additions are unlikely, with Liam Bridcutt and Mustapha Carayol signed on loan, and Toumani Diagouraga brought in from Brentford.

Sky Sports reported at 7.51pm last night: "Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino says the club are unlikely to make any signings before the transfer deadline on Monday but they are committed to keeping their best players at the club, Sky Sports News HQ understands."

Head coach Steve Evans told BBC Radio Leeds after the 1-1 draw with Brentford that they had not pushed to sign Bradley Dack or Lee Tomlin, who has since signed for Bristol City.

He told BBC Radio Leeds ahead of the game that he wanted potentially three more additions at Leeds United.

Evans said: "I don’t think there’s any dispute, I would like to strengthen in the defensive area of the team, I would like to add a striker and I would like a winger, who can play on both sides of the pitch."

To add to the confusion, The Daily Star claimed an hour after Sky's report, that Cellino is happy to cash in on captain Sol Bamba, with Premier League side Newcastle United and Sunderland interested.

Cellino is however not too happy with Sky Sports in general regarding changes to fixtures, so it is very possible he is deliberately throwing them off the scent.

Leeds have earned £3.7 million in player sales this transfer window, after cashing in on Sam Byram, who was in the final few months of his contract.

With Leeds in 14th place in the Championship, having played a game more than some sides around them, the claim there will be no more transfers coming in has not exactly gone down well among fans...
