Shakhtar Donetsk's prolific striker Alex Teixeira has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool.
SkySports report Liverpool have made an offer of £25 million for the Brazilian, but this has been rejected.
The Mirror report Shakhtar are willing to sell, but only for 50 million Euros (£38m).
Top quality strikers are hard to come by in January, and Teixeira might just be worth the money.
He has a sensational 22 goals in 16 games for the Ukrainian side.
Here are three clubs who would be wise to pay up and rival Liverpool for Teixeira's signature.
Chelsea could re-united Teixeira with former Shakhtar teammate Willian, and fellow countryman Oscar. The Blues are expected to move Loic Remy on, while Falcao has been a disaster, meaning reinforcements are needed in attack, especially given Diego Costa's unpredictability. The Mirror report Chelsea are interested, but how far they are willing to push this is unclear.
Manchester United's reluctance to sign an experienced striker this transfer window and last, has been somewhat bizarre. Wayne Rooney has been inconsistent this season, while placing too much pressure on Anthony Martial is not sensible. Teixeira could be the difference maker United need, and help them rediscover their form in order to clinch a top four place, and stop Liverpool overtaking them.
Arsenal are agonisingly close to winning the Premier League title this season, but have only signed one outfield player in this transfer window and last, defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny. Teixeira would transform their strike options, and while Arsene Wenger is excited about Danny Welbeck's return from injury, adding the Brazilian will surely be of benefit to their title chances, and energise the rest of the squad.
