The Frenchman is currently Arsenal's top goal-scorer by some distance.
That has seen him come in for praise from a number of sources, with many now debating whether he is the world-class striker that Arsene Wenger’s side have long needed.
One of those who have been impressed is teammate Koscielny, who says that he believes the striker can smell out situations to grab himself goals.
“When he plays simple, he’s the best,” Koscielny told arsenal.com.
“You can see now that he smells the situations well - when he needs to shoot quickly, or control the ball, like he did against Liverpool with his second goal.
“I think he’s in good form this season and I hope he will stay in that form until the end of the season.”
The Gunners will certainly be hoping that Giroud can continue his fine form for the rest of the campaign as they eye the title come May.
He is by far their best performing forward this season with Alexis Sanchez the closest to him with six, and fellow striker Theo Walcott having only managed three.
That leaves the pressure firmly on the Frenchman's shoulders to score the goals to keep them up towards the top of the table, and he will hope he can continue smelling out goals to boost their title challenge.
