Tottenham scouts took in the Eintracht Frankfurt v Wolfsburg clash on Sunday.
Tottenham had scouts in attendance at Eintracht Frankfurt’s clash with Wolfsburg, the Daily Mail reports.
They are continuing to search for a new striker to act as cover for Harry Kane, and are searching the European leagues for targets.
They would have been impressed by what they saw, especially as they search for a new forward.
The game was a five-goal thriller, with Frankfurt claiming all three points in an injury time 3-2 victory.
Wolfsburg went ahead through centre-back Dante, with Alex Meier drawing Frankfurt level, and then taking into the lead on the 73rd minute.
Andre Schurrle equalised for Wolfsbug, but Meier completed his hat-trick in the 92nd minute to hand all three points to the home side.
Meier, 33, would certainly have impressed the watching scout, and is a wise, if very short-term, target for Spurs.
Max Kruse also featured, playing 78 minutes for Wolfsburg, but failing to hit the back of the net. The 27-year-old is a player whose name is often mentioned when talking about a move to the Premier League, and SportBILD reported over the summer that Spurs had made bids for Kruse before he left Gladbach for Wolfsburg.
