The Fiorentina midfielder has been struggling for his best form in Italy.
Watford have been heavily linked with a move for Spanish midfielder Mario Suarez over the past month. The former Atletico Madrid star joined Fiorentina in the summer but he has struggled to settle in Florence and has been linked with a move away from the club.
It is now being reported in Spain that Suarez is indeed on his way to the club, after rejecting a fairly impressive deal.
It is reported by Diario as in Spain that Suarez has rejected the opportunity to join up with Gary Neville at Valencia in order to make the move to Vicarage Road - as he is keen on playing in the Premier League.
Watford have recently struggled for their best form, only winning their first game since Christmas last weekend and the signature of Suarez should certainly help them improve on their current form after an excellent start to life in the top-flight.
Suarez would be a fantastic addition. He helped guide Atletico Madrid to Europa League and La Liga glory during his time with Los Colchoneros, as well as a Champions League final. He also has three caps for the Spanish national team.
Watford fans will be hoping that the Suarez deal can be pushed through in the coming days as he will be an excellent acquisition.
